Just finished this 24″ Anderson rifle. I went out shooting and first time out it was shooting 1″ at 100 yards. I’m sure that the gun is more accurate than I am a marksman. Mated it with an 80% Anderson lower with the enhanced Magpul lower build kit. This rifle shoots great. This is my second all Anderson. My other is a 20″ bull barrel RF85 upper and it also shoots great. I really like the Anderson products.

Finally got to shoot this upper it is mounted on an Anderson lower I bought at my local gun shop (FoxHole, Gainesville GA). Fits as tight as as my higher end S&Ws I have. Right now I mounted Ultra Dual Shot Pro Spec Night Vision QD Reflex Sight from Sightmark. Laser bore sighted it in to get on paper. I was shooting 3 shot groups at 100 yards off a Caldwell Lead Sled DFT to fine tune the sight. Shooting Federal 223 REM. 55 grain FMJ bought at Walmart. This thing was shooting nickel size clover leafs out of the box. cant wait to get a Nikon M-223 4-16x42M BDC 600, on it like I got on my Smiths. I also have put a ERGO Grip Tactical Deluxe AR-15 Grip with Palm Shelf, and Magpul AR-15 Precision Adjustable Stock,. Kinda cloning the Anderson Sniper model they have on this web site, except I will use a Geissele Automatics AR-15/AR-10 High Speed National Match Rifle Trigger. Maybe I will swap one out of one of my Smiths for know to see how much I like it. I love the EXT handguard better than some of the other manufacturers I have, I have ordered some rails to fit it from Anderson.
This rifle looks very good no flaws I have found and seems to operate flawlessly. Liked it so much I am now waiting on a 10.5″ carbine pistol upper from Anderson.
    Can’t say enough about Anderson
Thanks alot Anderson I am a fan.

    • Thank you for all the nice comments
Glad we can help you out.

Can this barrel handle 77grain ammo? I would like to purchase this upper to shoot long range targets between 500-750yds. I prefer shooting 77-80 grain ammo.

    • 1-8 twist best to use 62 gr

What is needed to attach a Harris bipod to the front?

  13. 5 out of 5

I want to be able to attach a flash light at the end of hand guard. What kinds of attachment can I buy? I have another gun with a Keymod style handgurad. There were a lot of attachments available for a Keymod style. I am wondering what kinds of attachment I need to buy.

I brought this upper in May 2016 and used it on my Colt service rifle lower (Jewell two-stage trigger at 4.5 lbs) for two prairie dog hunting trips in Montana. Just came back from my most recent earlier this week. Shot approximately 800 rounds first trip (June 2016) and 1200 this trip (June 2017). Great gun/ammo combo out to 300 yards.

So far, I shot approximately 3500 rounds out of this upper for load development, practice, matches, and hunting. I experienced no function issues. Accuracy is very good.

I used almost exclusively handholds for this upper. I, at the beginning, used my service rifle match ammo, 69gr Federal Gold Medal and BlackHill 77gr, both Sierra Matchking bullets to test for accuracy. I also used factory loaded ball ammo, commercial Remington 55gr FMJs and military M193s to get the gun “worn-in”. The 1×8 twist and NATO chamber worked well with all of the ammo used.

My handloaded ammo used Remington brass, Sierra 55gr Blitzking, and 26.7gr of CFE223. Seated out to magazine length of approximately 2.250″. Accuracy is under 2″ at 200 yards (10 shot groups). Dead p-dogs at 250 yards are assured if I do my part at calling wind.

Great product at a very good price. Now, Anderson Arms needs to make an AR10 upper (Armalite compatible) in 243 WIN so I can extend my range beyond 250/300 yards on the Range Rats.

I had problems with the charging handle and upper receiver. Nasty scratches on the side. I emailed Anderson and they didnt even bother to respond.
