I picked one up and am so far very pleased. I haven’t used a drop of lube yet and have had zero failures. However, I’ve only put about 200 rounds through it. The finish and rail system are really nice. So far a great upper.

I purchased the bull barrel Anderson Manufacturing upper that was already mounted to an Anderson lower. My 100 yard groups with 69 grain IMI Razor Core and 77 grain Freedom Munitions OTM are small enough to be covered by a dime.
I’m pleased and impressed with its performance.

Great heavy gun. If you run out of ammo you still have a deadly club in hand lol. After getting it sighted in, I ran 4 different types of ammo thru it and all were almost touching or under an inch with no flyers. Couldn’t be happier. Mine won’t cycle cheap steel ammo but could be the lowers heavy recoil spring

    • Michael Johnson

      that is great to hear

Description says chambered in 5.56/223. Also says bolt is 223… can I fire either round? I have a Stag Arms lower… this will fit on it?

    • Michael Johnson

yes you can shoot either out of this barrel.

What is a good barrel break in procedure for this upper

    • Tom Steffner

Following is the necessarily barrel break-in procedure to ensure reliable and consistent accuracy from your new rifle:

Shoot one round and then clean
Do this for the first ten rounds.

Shoot three rounds and then clean
Do this for the next fifteen rounds.

Shoot five rounds and then clean
      then shoot a fouler round
and then shoot three rounds for accuracy.

NOTE: Allow barrel to cool to ambient temperature before shooting each series of break-in rounds to avoid unnecessary throat erosion. Do not shoot your rifle in succession until the barrel is too hot to touch with a bare hand.

I own an RF 85 M4, Love it. Wanting to build a varmint rifle, with proper care and maint. What is the life span of this barrel vs. A RF85 barrell vs. The 24′ SS

  13. Rated 5 out of 5

    Nick

This isn’t a pinned and welded muzzle break right it is just a complete non threaded barrel correct

    • Michael Johnson

no muzzle break on this barrel

Will this be considered a crowned barrel use it does not had threads or a welded muzzle break.
