I bought my Anderson lower receiver over a year ago during the “crazy days” and paid over $120.00 for it. I’ve been very pleased with it. The finish is first rate and the fit is awesome. I Mounted it on a Smith&Wesson M&P 15 Sport upper and other than the shade being just slightly off, I can’t complain. I’m buying another one right now for an AR15 pistol build using a Palmetto State Armory M4 style upper receiver. I can’t wait to get it built and it doesn’t hurt my feelings that I’ll be paying about half as much for this one. Thanks Anderson for offering such a high quality lower receiver at a great price!

I have 2 Anderson Lowers for my builds. One is closed trigger(using PSA LPK) and other is mil-spec open style(using CMMG LPK). Both lowers are top notch in looks, tight fit and function, using my PSA and DPMS Upper Assemblies.

Just accepted transfer of my first – NOT MY LAST! – stripped, closed trigger Anderson Lower.

    It. Is. Fantastic!

I prefer a looped trigger guard on AR lowers – for shooting with even lightweight gloves (sweaty hands!) – and I’ve only seen this integral feature on billet lower$$$ previou$$$ly! WOW! Mega-expensive! I believe this “as forged” loop is far stronger than any “from billet” or certainly any insert-type unit. Impressive, to say the least!!!

Equal-to – or better – than anything else in the AR market. Period.

Anderson’s quality and service – from their choice of forging supplier, machining, finishing – all full MIL-spec compliance – including shipping – is simply unmatched!

Pricing is also extremely attractive – even at full retail.

Thanks to all at their Hebron KY facility!!!

Unbelievable deal! I bought this Anderson closed trigger guard lower and an ATI M4 rifle kit from AIM Surplus and assembled the carbine myself. IT SHOOTS GREAT! I cannot be happier with the quality of the Anderson lower. Keep them in stock, I will buy more.

I was very surprised at the fit & finish of this lower. I will be recommending Anderson lowers to all my customers. These are the best lowers for the money.

Awesome receivers. I cant figure out how anderson manufacturing is making an money. For the quality, they are giving them away. GREAT FIT AND FINISH, Luv it

Picked one of these up for my first build, outstanding fit and finish, just flawless.

I am curious if the note on the description: “THESE DO NOT HAVE RF85 MARKINGS” indicate the lower is RF85 treated but not marked, or is NOT RF85 treated and that’s why it’s not marked as such.

As stated I think it’s a bit ambiguous, can’t wait to get clarification so I can start putting together a matching RF85 upper (or not!)

    Great lower!

Can you tell me what upper you carry that matches this finish? It appears grey in color.

    Thanks

bought one of these lowers from my local dealer at an awesome price, have installed the LPK also from Anderson. Cant wait to get the project done! Now I cant decide which to go with, the 7.62×39 or 300 blackout upper! Lol. Will be deer and hog hunting with it here in North Carolina. Thanks for making a great product!!

Got mine through AIM Surplus as well. Very nice looking piece. I’m excited to build my rifle. However, I would like clarification as to whether or not it was RF85 treated. Seems that the question was posed, but not answered. So, are these lowers RF85 treated or not?

    • Tom Steffner

Yours is not treated, Closed Trigger “MULTI CAL” AR15-A3 Lower Receiver ****These Do Not Have RF85 Markings****

I purchased two of the closed loop trigger guard lowers, with these lowers there is one less spring to worry about, The first one I used it for my “precision” build, I simply cannot find fault with these lowers. Everything mated up the way it is supposed to. My other one is going to be for a yet to be determined gun, I simply could not pass up on the price for these. If you are looking for quality without breaking your budget this is the place to come. In my opinion with the other guys you are paying for the name more than the product itself. Anderson Rifles, a name at the top of my search list and should be on yours too.

I bought the receiver at a gun show with the anderson lower parts, along with magpul grip and stock..very great price and excellent quality this is the second one , the first had the open trigger. I love the closed trigger one less pin to install and better looking. this one will be a carbine. would recommend this one for even a fist timmer…this is the 4 th build

Based on positive experience with my Anderson .300 AAC lower, I would like very much to purchase one of these ‘Multi’ marked closed loop lowers for a 6.5 Grendel precision rifle build (which I will also run a .556 varmint upper on). Anderson machining is superb — no bling just honest solid American quality.

I like the solid trigger guard receiver for greater strength with the high energy 6.5mm round. Really appreciate Anderson’s reasonable prices given my modest retirement pension. Hopefully these will be available again soon. Thanks Tom S and team!

This lower is awesome. I picked one up for a 20 inch A4 built and fit and finish is top notch. This lower was my first experience with Anderson and I was so impressed with the price and quality of Anderson’s entire line of products that I have purchased an upper, barrel and bolt carrier group to match. Anderson has become my go-to company for parts… if they are in stock…

I’m currently doing an overhaul of my AR collection – selling the safe queens & building more modern & useful rifles. I bought one of these closed trigger guard lowers just to try it out, and it’s grown on me. It looks cleaner and probably adds structural integrity to the rifle. Plus, you save $15+ not having to buy an enhanced trigger guard! I also like that these lowers look “normal” – no weird protrusions, inlaid skulls or other such nonsense. Just a nice mil-spec appearing lower with an integral trigger guard.
There are no machine marks, nothing was out-of-spec, all parts fit without issue and the finish is perfect. I found out they’re machined from billets & since billets are blocks of forged aluminum anyway, there’s no issue with durability. In fact, most high-end lowers costing 10X as much as these are machined from billets.
After shooting my new rifle, I noticed how comfortable it was on my middle knuckle. I’ve actually grown a callous on this knuckle over the years! I’ve only shot a couple hundred rounds out of it, but like it so much I just ordered 3 more to complete my update project.
Like beavertail grip safeties on 1911’s, these closed trigger guards should become the new standard for AR’s.

I have purchased ten (10) of these stripped lowers over the past year and a half for about $40 each. I have built five rifles out of the ten lowers and only have had one that was slightly out of spec – I needed to file the rounded area at the front take down pin so my free float handguard upper would fit. Great lower at great price.

I purchased (2) of these from Primary Arms, which by the way is a great company to deal with, and I was so pleased with them that I purchased another (2). If I build any more ARs they will be built with this receiver. Well done Anderson Manufacturing.

These lowers are better than most that cost twice as a much. I used 4 this last week to build a couple of friends 10.5 in AR pistols. They turned out great. Wide closed trigger guard should be standard on all lower receivers! Thanks Anderson for a great product. you definitely get more than you pay for with this lower

I have 2 of these lower receivers. One is a 300 blackout and the other is a 5.56 20″ rifle. Why spend $200 plus when these cost less than $60? I can take these to combat and not have any problems. Thanks Anderson.

Very happy with my first self-assembly of an MSR using this closed trigger lower, coupled with an Anderson upper, barrel, and high gas block (74603-UP-HIGH-NO BCG, but I nixed the A2 handguard and flash hider). Small parts for the lower and the charging handle are from Anderson. Included an AIM Surplus Nickel Boron BCG, Larue A-PEG grip, and a Ruger Elite 452 trigger. From Magpul, I used an SL handguard, SL-K stock, F/R Pro iron sites, and a 30-rd M3 magazine (have a 10-rd M3 mag for hunting). The buffer tube, recoil spring, and buffer are Tapco M4s (upper, lower, and buffer tube are all 7075 T6). I used a non-branded castle nut, end plate, and knurled thread protector, but I did spring for 2A Armament titanium take down pins. Topped it with a Bushnell TRS-25 on a Monstrum QD riser.

A light-weight, sleek, easy to handle rifle. No play between upper and lower. Really like the high gas block topped with the Magpul Pro front site.

Got one of these from my local ffl. Very impressive piece at this price point. Had cerro forge keyhole mark. Finish was excellent. This was my first ar build and I hope to build more using this lower. Great quality at a great price. Takes mil-spec lower parts kit with ease. Just a great product. Keep up the good work.

I bought one of these with the cutout trigger guard from my ffl, its great in everyway expect my rear take down pin was drilled just a bit crooked. I have to tap it threw with hammer used two different uppers same thing n now I can notice a slight angle looking at the pin without the upper. No big deal but do need tools, otherwise tight fit. Will buy again for next build.

I buy nothing but Anderson Stripped lowers for all of my builds. I bought two (2) closed trigger guard lowers for the first time from my local dealer yesterday with consecutive serial numbers. These stripped lowers will save me from the aggravating task of installing the trigger guards. The quality of Anderson lowers rank up their with the competition and cost a lot less.
