What size gas tube should i purchase for my optic ready am15 16″ barrel that i am putting a free float rail on?

    • James Billingsly

Hey T-Man-95, If your am=15 already has a gas tube then you do not need to change anything except whatever forearm you are wanting to use. If you need a gas tube the optics ready use a carbine length gas systems.

    Interested in purchasing this item.

I’ve recently acquired the AM-15-Optic Ready package, and am looking to outfit it. I purchased the Anderson on the recommendation of a military serviceman who expressed satisfaction with the quality of the receiver. Being as this is my first AR, I’d like to make it my project firearm. I’m planning to equip the device with this gas block, the “Anderson ”Keymod” AR15 Rifle Length( 15.0) Free Float Kit,” and the “Anderson DR20 No Rise Muzzle Brake.”

Obviously, with sights as the exception, I would like to create my own full Anderson build. With that in mind when will this part be available for purchase?

    • Michael Johnson

These should be back in stock

    John Anderson

Just purchased this gas block. I have a question. Should it fit the barrel easily or do you have to hammer it down to seat it. It has gotten tight about an inch before the shoulder. If I get it all the way to the shoulder and need to get it off for some reason, I am not sure you could. Does not seem to be a .750 opening.

    • Michael Johnson

The gas block should slide on to the barrel with ease.
      Is the barrel .750 diameter?
      could be a coating issue.

Since the barrel doesn’t need dimpling, should I still use lock-tight on the screws?

    • Michael Johnson

Yes some lock-tight would be just fine.

  32. Rated 5 out of 5

    pauley4205

The smaller design gave me quite a time trying to install the pin without scratching it up, but once I got it in, I was pleased. It matched up perfectly with the free-float hand guard I got with this order. And of course I added the lock-tight. I love it, and I like being able to see the horse design through the hand guard. Nice touch!
