Great upper I use as varmitter and is very accurate. The upper runs very well have put over 5000 down the pipe with out a single issue. I like it so well I am going to buy a second one . If you want to shoot distance you can’t go wrong with this one. Highly recommend ,Anderson is great to work with really good people with a top notch product
Matt Murray –
Fantastic upper…. haven’t put any round through it yet but the machining and finish is perfect. The added gunfighter charging handle is very nice and the grippy finish on it is great. Definitely will buy another when I have the chance.

11/18/2015 Just got my new 24″ ss upper yesterday. It will be a while before I get the scope, bi-pod etc. & etc. on it, with xmas & all coming up. I am impressed w/the quality of the product just by having it in my hands.
I own a .223 varmit AR-15 by another manufacturer & it is a tack driver. I have no reason to believe that this Anderson will be any different and or even better. This is my 4th Anderson Ar-15. I am very impressed with the workmanship, the quality of the materials, the engineering and especially the professionalism of the people that I deal with at Anderson Manufacturing.
I’ll send you an update on this upper after I have it at the range, hopefully soon.

I purchased this upper over a month ago. I have several hundred rounds through it at this point. I have seen a siginificant improvement in my groupings at 200 yards (that’s as far as I have to shoot). The quality of andersons manufacturing produces a product far superior to other lower priced providers. I also purchased an LPK with Timney Trigger. The kit came with a standard trigger as well. Everything – springs, fit and finish is visibly improved beyond the other AR parts manufacturers I have purchased from. I don’t mind paying more for a better product. I will be buying from Anderson frorm here on out.
Derek –
When will these be back in stock?
Rob –
Built AR using this upper complete and it is one the best I ever used. I got mine from Sportsman Guide.out of box go..
Keith –
Absolutely beautiful.
I received mine today. It was exactly what I was looking for and more.
Buy one.
You’ll love it.
The process went just as they’d spelled out in the ordering instructions.
These guys rock!
Especially MJ!

You totally want this upper! I KNOW I DID! I had been trying to get mine for six months. Then, I called Customer service. They told me to check on-line Wednesdays and Saturdays at 5:00 PM, when new stock is entered into computers. So I started watching and three weeks later, my upper was ordered. (I had to set the alarm on my phone, but it was well worth it.) When I checked the next day, they were out of stock again. It was on my doorstep in less than a week. So the upper…I paired it with an Anderson lower, UTG snipper grip and a basic A2 stock and this thing is a tack driver! I can hit a quarter at 200 yards, over and over. I guess my Atlas bipod can take a liitle bit of credit. I wish had a 1000 yard range nearby. Don’t expect to carry it for miles and miles. With my scope and bipod, this beast weighs in at 11, 6. The heavy barrel is perfectly machined. This is a solid, well built upper that you will love. Buy it!

Anyone tell me what the thread pattern is in the handguard? Want to mount a bipod using a sling swivel mount. Is it normal swing swivel threading? Thanks
Just got mine today. Machining is on par with some higher end rifles. Will give it hell as soon as my optics are here!

I received this upper and returned it the next day. For some reason the quality control person at Anderson shipped me a product that had deep gouges and spiral tool marks along the entirety of the barrel-it was horrible. The staff at Anderson were prompt with the return shipping label, though. Hopefully the replacement will be good quality and I will be able to see how it shoots. Two stars for the junk they sent out though, they should know better.
emcgowan –
I’ve bought 2 of these to build custom target rifles with. Both fitted to Anderson lowers, one carrying a Magpul PRS stock and the other sporting a standard A2 stock. Some of the best equipment I’ve ever seen, and ridiculously accurate.
Aaron –
Got this upper to mate to an Anderson A2 lower for dogs. With the excellent customer service from Anderson I had It waiting for me when I returned stateside for the hunt. This upper shoots everything equally well. Since I didn’t have time to reload or test ammunition before heading out I just ordered 55gr, 64gr, and 75gr loads and zeroed before leaving. I was successfully engaging dogs at 400yds with an untested and unproven upper because of their superior quality. You will not be disappointed with this upper. Thank you Anderson Mfg for a super product and amazing customer service.

Josh –
Can a bipod be added to this upper? If so, is there a certain style/attachment that this one requires?
Michael Johnson –
Yes you can add one
Harris Bi pod
Lee –
Will this upper be available any more?
Michael Johnson –
yes it will be available.
We have a large order we are working on and is taking the inventory.
RD Timmerman Jr –
I purchased this upper online directly from Anderson and received it very quickly, great job with that! I mounted the upper on a lower put together with Anderson parts, a straight A2 stock, a Timney Trigger and an inexpensive Nikon P-223 scope. The very first 3 shot 300 yard group with a handload measured 1.272″. The worst 300 yd 3 shot group to date (with a different handload) has measured 2.054″. This seems way too easy as I was sort of hoping to have to work a little bit harder(i.e. shoot a lot more to find a load that works) to be able to shoot little pest critters at this range with an AR-15.
Joshua –
Can this forend have a bipod attached or will I need to replace the foreend?
Michael Johnson –
Yes you can attach a bipod to the bottom screw hole.
Darren –
When will these be available again?
Thank you!
Michael Johnson –
We are working hard to get these back online

If someones is looking to add a bipod stud to the handrail, I used a Yankee Hill Bipod Stud. YHM-262. Had to add #8 split washer.
Jerry C Eggering –
Love this upper but does anyone know which handrail covers fit this style handrail, thanks in advance.
BrentH –

Jeff –
Trying to be patient but it is hard. Are these still expected to be in stock soon?
Joe –
This upper is a piece of art. The quality and workmanship was evident throughout. I can’t wait until the weather permits some time to shoot at longer distances. I wish to thank the Anderson Team for their support to the shooting public. They are one of the few companies that answers their calls and they truly want to produce quality firearms.
Jared Blocher –
When will these be in stock again?
Michael Johnson –
Yes these will be in this morning
Scott Jones –
This upper is awesome. It turned a noise maker into a sweet shooting rifle. Thanks Anderson. You will be getting my business in the future.

Thanks
Michael Johnson –

Chris Witkowski –
Will you build that upper with a 16″ or 18″ stainless barrel?
Michael Johnson –
NO we designed that forearm for the 24 inch barrel
William Sleigh –
Is there an option to get end of the barrel threaded?
Michael Johnson –
no we do not have that option for this barrel.
Rob bendick –
Wow amazing upper it is mounted on a Anderson lower. At one hundred yards I was putting holes inside of holes. It shoots like my bolt action completion bench rifle. Can’t wait to take it to a match and win. So much for only old school rifles that shoot incredibly accurate. Can’t wait to build my 300 blk next. Keep up the awesome work. Thank you
Paul –
this upper is unbelievable I put it on a PSA lower and at 100 yards this thing makes 1 ragged hole with the 5 shot group it is more accurate then I can ever be can’t wait to shoot chucks at extreme ranges
Michael Johnson –
we are glad to hear about this.
keep it up
thank you
Brent Hanneman –
Looks nice out of the box. What grain bullet are you shooting?
Michael Johnson –

Dan Gambill –
Bought this upper for prairie dog hunt this summer. Matched it with my Colt lower. Ran nearly flawless (1 separated case , ammos fault) 1000+ rounds. Like it so much bought lower from Anderson to complete the rifle.
Mike –
This upper is a tack driver! Typical great Anderson quality!
Thank you “A team”!
Mike Guss –
Bought this upper for under $420 delivered, an Anderson complete lower with PRS stock off Sportsmans guide for $286. The stock trigger was poop, but after replacement in short order had the bulk Wolf Gold 55gr bullets tearing a hole at 165 yards–never thought an AR upper could be that accurate with out money and time being thrown at it. Never thought the cheapest brass .223 ammo could be that accurate. Cheers Anderson
Shooter of guns –
What size is this handguard? and when will these be back in stock? Thanks.
Michael Johnson –
These are back in stock
This is a 15 inch forearm
Dave –
Mated this upper with a Anderson lower that I built using a Geiselle SSA-E 2 stage & H2 buffer. Using 77 grain IMI Razor Cores and a Nikon Prostaff 3x9x50, I can easily hit a dime consistently at 100 meters, and ring 4″ gongs at 300 meters. I am quite pleased with the build quality and accuracy.
wayne –
I looked at these on Sportsman’s Guide, but they are out and you are out. When will they be back in stock? I sent an email a couple days ago and it was deleted. If you don’t want to answer, fine, let me know and I will look someplace else.
Michael Johnson –
This upper should be back in stock in a couple of weeks
Sam –
So there’s no muzzle brakes at all for this upper?
Michael Johnson –
Not for this upper
this is a target crown barrel. no Threads
Roger –
when will these uppers be back in stock?
D –
Will these be back in stock soon?
waldo800r –

This upper is the heart of my AR varmint gun. This is a very accurate upper. I am able to target groundhogs easily at 400 yards. I am sure I could shoot farther if I had the land . Mine is mated to an Anderson lower for a perfect fit. I have had no FTF, FTE. It has run perfectly from the first round. I have had one squib round, but that is not any fault of the firearm. The fit and finish on this upper is very good. It was very easy to mount a Harris bipod to the free float tube if you follow the instructions and order the specified part.
Michael Johnson –
We are excited to hear all is well with the Upper you have. Thank you
Donn –
My upper is matched with an Anderson lower that I got locally last year. I opted for a Timney 2 stage and I am very satisfied with this set up. Get a trigger and glass that will do this upper justice and enjoy.
Gary –
Can’t beat the price or the grouping this barrel produces… Wish it was a Wylde barrel…. Also not much recoil either, because of the weight of this upper.
David Malcolm –
With Nikon M556 4x16x50 scope shoots 1 1/8 5 shot groups at 200 yards. Wonderful piece of equipment. Use Hornady Superforance Match 223 Remington and 556 Nato factory ammo. Had a buddy do custom reloads, and tightened the group up some, under 1/2 MOA. Outshoots rigs costing 5 times the price… Makes long distance shooting fun….PS, do a proper stainless barrel break in.
