I put one of these on my latest build. My reloads were very tight fit, I’ll have to check my dies, but this barrel is so accurate it ridiculous. I have no problem putting a 5 shot group in one inch at 100 yards with 55 gr bullet. the 77 gr sierra matchking is even better. 6 inch target at 300 is easy with a 1-4 power scope. I’m going to order a couple more of these for other builds.

How do you install this barrel if it has no dimples for the gas block? Also will this work with a Multical spikes tactical upper?

Is there enough interest to produce this barrel with a full-length gas system?
I am not as interested in a fast cyclic rate as a reduced recoil with a rifle length gas system and a rifle length buffer tube/spring/buffer. Having a hard time finding a barrel (in your price range) and a buffer tube that will work with an adjustable stock. Do you have or do you foresee having these pieces in the future?

    • Michael Johnson

Thank you for interest in the new barrel we will have to see about that in the future

Is there a possibility for me to receive an email once the RF85 variant of this barrel is restocked?

I have great expectations for this barrel, but am unfamiliar with the restock rate of the Anderson Manufacturing website. 🙂
I am currently building my first AR 15 and so far have been pleasantly surprised by the variety of part this website has to offer.

Also… I know it is stated that that the RF85 treated pieces do not require lubrication, but should I still apply light lubrication for good measures or will it negatively impact something?

    Thank you for your time.
    ~ Gunnar

    • Tom Steffner

only lube if you plan on storing your weapon for a long period of time.

Any updates on restocking? What the difference between treated and untreated?

    • Michael Johnson

This barrel will be few weeks before it is back in stock.
Treated is the RF85 version of this barrel. Meaning the barrel will be cooler which will double the life of the barrel.
