So you two dinged a carbine gas length barrel for not being a rifle length gas system. Apples to oranges isn’t it? So ask Anderson to make one in rifle length, geesh.

*My rating only given so I could post. Sorry for derailing the review, Anderson.

I agree with Jason and tabertr, this should be a rifle length or mid-length gas system. However, I do like the 1/8 twist rate and the nitrided finish.

Gotta say i’ll never get a carbine length barrel. If it was mid or rifle length at this price id buy two right now. And yes, gas system length is not apples to oranges, Only time carbine length is beneficial is when it’s on full auto for faster cycling. But since 98% of us are shooting semi, it’s only beneficial for use to use mid or rifle so we make sure we can get a good shot before the BCG starts to cycle

Im a type 7 manufacturer. The carbine length gas vs. mid length gas doesn’t make too much difference at the range. These barrels are accurate if that’s what you’re looking for. Well made. No complaints here.

Any idea when this barrel will be in stock again? I have 2 Anderson carbine rifles that I would like to put these barrels on. My next question is the 2 rifles are RF85 treated and can or should you put a nitride barrel on a RF85 rifle? 5 stars to Anderson on all of your rifles and parts.
