I had problems with cycling on my completed build, after some research i switched to a pistol length gas tube barrel and it solved everything. This would be a fine kit if you want a single shot but i would def recommend the pistol length barrel.

Same issue with my build . I only bought the barrel and same issue. I even used an adjustable gas block. If anyone at Anderson has a fix please let me know , I would hate to have a $100 paper weight .

10.5 is best with pistol system.
For your build (10.5 w/ carbine gas) you will need a heavier buffer and an adjustable gas block for it to cycle.
    Good Luck

I apologize, long story even longer… But using the correct ammo is vitally important as well. I only tested 110gr vMax Reman ammo from Freedom Munitions. Subsonic ammo 147-200gr will decrease gas pressure even more but using a suppressor should negate short stroking issues. If that occurs I will likely have run a low mass NiB or Nitride BCG.

    • Yes the 300 blackout is hard to get to work depending how you are shooting it.
We have seen a pistol gas system works best with both kids of ammo.
      This is sub and supersonic.

Glad I bought this combo pkg. The only thing i would change is the gas tube. Instead of offering the carbine tube, when Anderson is well aware that the 10.5″ works best with the pistol length gas tube, Anderson needs to change the tube and include the pistol length gas tube.

Other than that, I am very pleased with my purchase. Wish we could add pics to show off our custom works. Mine has:

    Purple rails
    Purple ra-ails
    Whoa!
    Everybody here
Come on and raise your hands…

    • We will make the change
